At 5,000 years old, Stonehenge is the most famous megalithic monument in the world. Was it a lunar observatory? A temple to the sun? A burial ground? This day trip from London is the perfect chance to find out.
Tour Details
Departing from central London at your chosen time, we'll head west to Stonehenge. The journey takes approximately 2 hours, depending on traffic.
Located on Salisbury Plain, Stonehenge is a megalithic monument made up of enormous stone blocks weighing 40 tonnes, brought to the site 5,000 years ago. Despite countless theories, its purpose remains a mystery. Did you know the site has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987?
Once at Stonehenge, you'll have approximately 2 hours of free time to explore. The tour includes the most complete admission ticket to the site, though the return journey to the visitor center, around 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) away, must be made on foot.
Once we regroup at the visitor center, we'll board the bus back to central London, finishing the trip at Gloucester Road in Kensington.
